wandered into a factory near Leamington spa, desperately hungry and
not in the best condition - thin and with yellow fur. The employees
fed him and one kind man, Lou from Corby in Northampton-shire, took
him home that evening. Lou had been unable to find anyone to take the
ferret when he decided to look in yellow pages and found The Algernon
Trust, the very first entry. He rang and of course was told to bring
over the ferret.
Having
become besotted with this charming, gentle, affectionate and enormously
entertaining fellow, we knew he would have to be neutered if he were
going to become a permanent resident. We were very fortunate that one
of the Trust’s members offered to pay for his operation - a big
help.
Melvyn
designed and built a super-de-luxe ferret hotel in the garden and a
companion will be joining Gabbers as soon as the right friend is found.
Gabriel will always spend some time in the house because he loves racing
around and exploring, getting into terrible mischief and playing
